Navin Sharma, an architect, urban planner and interior designer who helped bring modernism to his native through economical and elegant way. He has been recognized three times by the then-Chief Minister for his outstanding contribution to the establishment of Bus Stand Complexes throughout Chhattisgarh, as well as several development and institutional projects in extremist-affected areas.

Mr Sharma’s work philosophy is “Design with the economy”.
Mr Sharma has assembled a number of residential bungalows and apartments in and around Chhattisgarh. His eminent works in this genre are "Avenue 144, Apartments at Sunita Park, Amit Apartments and PIC Heights are his notable apartment designs.


He has also contributed in the creation of commercial, health, and institutional projects for the government.
The most prominent Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Government Hospital also known as District Hospital, Raipur was designed by Mr Sharma. PRAYAS, a residential school for Naxalite-affected children, and Kendriya Vidyalaya are also his work

Current Projects

Mr Sharma is currently into acclaimed projects as Bastar University, an extension of Ravi Shankar Shukla University which is Chhattisgarh’s largest and oldest institution of higher education. And the famous university of veterinary and animal sciences in Chhattisgarh ,the Kamdhenu University is also on the list of his current projects. He is also contributing his work in sports complexes and auditorium. These initiatives will be honoured in the following years.

Aside from his professional practices, Mr Sharma also taught at Government Engineering College(GEC) Raipur now Known as NIT Raipur. He recently completed Master's in Urban Planning from Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University(CSVTU). Now pursuing Phd in architecture, which indicates his compassion and urge to learn and cultivate more.

Positions & Facilitation

  • From 1995 until 2001, Mr Sharma taught at the Government Engineering College in Raipur, as today it is known as National Institute of Technologies (NIT), Raipur.

  • He was also the Former Chairman of the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Chhattisgarh Chapter.

  • He was also the Former Chairman of IIA Raipur Centre.

  • Currently MR Sharma is Chairman of ASSOCHAM GEM Chhattisgarh Chapter, whose objective is to ensure future buildings move towards environment friendly methods of design, construction and operations. He is also a member of multiple professional bodies such as :

    • Institution of Indian interior designers

    • Indian Building Congress

    • Fire safety association of India

    • India Institute of Town Planners

    • Indian Professional Plumbing Association

    Involved with a variety of social organizations as well.

    Rotary International has given him different positions at the local and district levels namely President RCR North & Assistant Governor Rotary District 3260 RLI Faculty.

  • Mr Sharma has been a robust inherent of the architectural community since the beginning of his career, serving both the government and the general public with his architectural skills and constantly working towards for the country's growth and development
